Anwar Baig accused PCB for misuse of funds

ISLAMABAD: Senator Anwar Baig and member Senate Standing Committee on Sports and Youth Affairs accused Pakistan Cricket Board for misusing of funds and sought probe from Public Accounts Committee.

Senate Anwar Baig expressed these views in letter addressing to Chairman Public Accounts Committee National Assembly issued here Thursday.

In the letter Anwar Baig requested that accounts of Pakistan Cricket Board since July 1999 to date be scrutinized and audited by the Auditor General of Pakistan.

It is further stated that Constitution of Pakistan Cricket Board has been under suspension since July 1999.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is being run arbitrarily by the Chairman Adhoc Committee and during Senate Standing Committee meetings much has been talked about grave misuse of the Boar’s funds.

Therefore, he requested that necessary action must be taken against responsible persons.
